Chinese New Year celebration @ Crescent

The Chinese New Year Celebration took place on 30 January, but the hype began much earlier. Decorations had been put up around the school, Chinese music was playing before assembly and you could feel the heat of the inter class competition as Crescentians went all out to beautify their classrooms.

On the actual day, Crescentians came in their class tees and red-coloured tops. To add to the festive mood, the Parents Support Group chipped in during recess to sell special food such as cupcakes, puffs and other savoury snacks. Many Crescentians took pictures to capture the memorable moments.

During the celebration, there was a line up entertaining performances that everyone enjoyed. Our dancers stole the show with their elegant and graceful movements and the scholars performed as well, showcasing their many talents. Artistes  from China were also invited to perform at our school. The programme then concluded with the Crescent mass dance that was led by the House leaders and the school cheer, a tradition of our school. All in all, everyone had an enjoyable day at school and we continued to celebrate Chinese New Year with our families over the long holiday.
