70th Speech Day: Honoring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future
23 May 2026
Crescent Girls' School’s 70th Speech Day honored student achievements and heritage with inspiring speeches, awards, and artistic performances.
Crescent Girls’ School celebrated its 70th Speech Day on 23 May 2026 with the meaningful theme, “Honouring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future.” This milestone event brought together students, parents, staff and distinguished guests to celebrate the achievements of Crescentians while reflecting on the values and legacy that continue to shape our school community. We were deeply honoured to welcome our Guest-of-Honour, Ms Ho Peng, former Director-General of Education and a proud Crescentian from the Class of 1970.
The ceremony featured the opening of the Heritage Gallery, inspiring speeches by our Guest-of-Honour and Principal, the presentation of awards and prizes, as well as captivating performances by our Symphonic Band, Angklung & Kulintang Ensemble, Crez Chorale, Drama Society and Chinese and Modern Dance Society. Throughout the morning, the auditorium was filled with excitement and warmth — from the applause after each performance to the proud smiles of parents and the anticipation of students waiting to be recognised.
Being part of Crescent’s 70th Speech Day as the emcees for the event was truly an unforgettable experience and one that we will always treasure. Beyond developing confidence and adaptability as emcees, we gained a deeper appreciation for the work and dedication, perseverance and quiet effort behind every achievement that went into creating moments like these.
As the event came to a close, we left feeling grateful and inspired to continue carrying forward the Crescent spirit and striving towards new milestones ahead.
