Sec 2 Hanoi Trip 2026
Trips for Internationalisation Experience: Hanoi
On 24 March 2026, 38 students and 5 teachers embarked on an Internationalisation Trip to Hanoi, Vietnam. The programme was crafted to extend learning beyond the classroom, centring on education, culture, and innovation. Through this experience, students were challenged to step outside their comfort zone and develop a broader global perspective.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting two schools: Cau Giay High School and Alpha School. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm hospitality of the students. We had the opportunity to sit in their classes, try authentic Vietnamese snacks, and engage in meaningful conversations with the students. Despite the language barriers, our Crescentians found common ground with their Vietnamese peers, gaining valuable insights into Vietnam’s education system and culture. They also managed to make new friends and exchange contact numbers, making the experience even more meaningful.
We also visited various companies such as KymViet and the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam. At KymViet, we learned how people with disabilities earn a living through crafting handmade items such as keychains and plush toys. We purchase all sorts of good quality and cute souvenirs. Visits to FPT Hanoi and Vietnam Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP), provided us with a glimpse of Vietnam’s rapidly growing innovation landscape, and how the next generation is shaping innovation and progress.
Overall, this journey was not just about exploring a new country, but also about building confidence, deepening cultural awareness, and creating lifelong memories.
