
This is the detailed diagram of our hair model. It shows the growth of a normal hair.We have refered to this for making our model.
Hair Growth
A hair grows upward from the root. Lengthening fibers of keratin-filled dead cells, grouped around the semihollow medulla, make up the cortex. A living structure called the bulb (visible as a white lump at the end of a plucked hair) surrounds and feeds the root, which lies in a pocket of the epidermis called the follicle.
