Colour & Texture of Solid	Inference
Colourless/white crystals	Gp I, II, III metal salts; no transition metal ions present. Ammonium compounds e.g. NH4Cl, NH4NO3
Blue crystals	CuSO4.5H2O (hydrated) as shown. Cu(NO3)2
Green crystals	CuCl2
Pale green crystals	Hydrated iron(II) salts e.g. FeSO4.7H2O
Brown crystals	Fe(III) salts e.g. hydrated FeCl3
