VI. Making Logical Deductions
and Conclusions
- Requires a lot of practice,
a good and sound knowledge of chemistry of various
substances and be familiar with the different types
of tests
- Always read carefully
the practical as a whole and then each individual
test bearing in mind the chemistry concepts or reactions
behind each test. DO NOT follow instructions blindly
and mechanically without any idea of the chemistry
involved
- Be familiar with the
type of reagents and purpose of each test
- Exercise analytical
thinking, inquiry and problem solving approach to
make relevant and logical deductions from the observations
noted
- In many cases, the
examiner require the test number as evidence to your
deduction. NO marks would be given if a wrong test
or wrong observation is given to support a correct
deduction or vice versa.
