Anion Analysis Laboratory

III. Solution R is a sodium salt solution which contains two unknown anions.
Test
Solution R

a. Add equal volume of dilute HNO3.

Add a few drops of Ba(NO3)2 solution.

b. Add an equal volume of dilute nitric acid.
    Add a few drops of AgNO3 solution.
c. Add lead(II) nitrate solution.

d. Add equal volume of NaOH (aq).

Add 2-3 pieces of aluminium foil to the mixture.

Warm gently.
